Elan Ballet Theatre: Original Series and Don Quixote

Elan Ballet Theatre and Elan Academy of Classical Ballet are proud to present Original Series and Don Quixote! Don Quixote, our full feature ballet this season, tells the story of the Innkeeper Lorenzo’s daughter Kitri and her love, the barber Basilio, who wish to be married despite Lorenzo’s wish that his daughter marry the rich Gamache. Don Quixote and Sancho Panzo head into Barcelona on a quest for Don Quixote’s dream love, Dulcinea, and run into the adventures of the two lovers. Originally choreographed by Marius Petipa in 1869 to Ludwig Minkus’ score, this ballet has it all, with wonderful character dancing, comedy, and Spanish flair. Elan’s Don Quixote is a wonderful experience for the entire family, performed by the incredibly talented dancers of Elan Ballet Theatre and Elan Academy of Classical Ballet. Original Series is an eclectic and moving collection of contemporary works inspired by the music of current original television series.
