Madeline Nickerson
Madeline Nickerson is a born and raised Vermonter, now pursuing musical theatre in New York City at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. She has been studying acting, musical theatre, and a variety of different dance styles. Madeline has been active in theatre since 9 years old, beginning in Stowe Theatre Guild’s production of Sound of Music, and most recently she was a part of Lamoille County Player’s Hello Dolly!. Madeline enjoys working creatively with kids and is an advocate for theatre opportunities at a young age, as she was one who benefited from that artistic exposure. She is always excited to help other kids discover a passion for the arts and can’t wait to see how these new fairytales will be formed.
Christine Penney
Christine Penney is a native Vermonter who currently finds herself acting and directing in the NYC area and northern New Jersey. She presently helms the theater program at Mountain Lakes High School in northern New Jersey, where her most recent youth directing credits include Into the Woods, Pride & Prejudice (STANJ Best Play 2019), Beauty and the Beast, Peter and the Starcatcher (Bucks County Playhouse Festival Winner 2018), and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (FOXY Award Winner 2017). She loves acting too, and was most recently seen onstage in a 2018 Princeton premier (Pfeffinger’s Human Error) and in the Oxygen Network’s The Disappearance of Maura Murray. She couldn’t be happier to return to Stowe, where years ago she played Maria in The Sound of Music and Annie Oakley in Annie Get Your Gun for the Stowe Theatre Guild. She’s greatly looking forward to exploring and playing with all sorts of fun fairy tales with equally fun kids in the beautiful mountains of her home state this summer!
