Elite Captain Donna Weinbrecht (SOLD)

Olympic GOLD medalist Donna Weinbrecht is one of the most successful skiers to compete for the U.S. Ski Team. She is a three time Olympian, has 46 individual World Cup wins, and 5 Overall World Cup Crystal globes.  In 2004, this New Jersey native was inducted into the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Hall of Fame.

Elite Captain Diann Roffe (SOLD) 

Diann Roffe burst onto the scene in 1985 when she won gold in the giant slalom at the World Ski Championships as a high school senior.  Over the next decade, the Rochester, New York, native racked up 36 World Cup top-10 finishes, and two Olympic medals.  Roffe- who was inducted into the U.S. National Ski Hall of Fame in 2003 – has focused on coaching a new generation of Olympic hopefuls, most recently as director of the junior program at Burke Mountain Academy. 

Former U.S. Ski Team Coach Mike Day (SOLD)

Mike Day was a coach on the U.S. Ski Team working directly with Mikaela Shiffrin, the most successful skier in the history of the World Cup alpine ski racing.  Mike was Michaela’s coach for 65 of her current 88 World Cup wins.  Previously, he also coached U.S. Olympians Bode Miller and Ted Ligety.  In March, 2023, Mt. Mansfield Academy (MMA) welcomed Mike Day as Director of Athlete Development.  In his position at MMA, Mike coaches student-athletes in every group, and helps guide the development of the coaching staff.  A resident of Stowe, Vermont, Mike is thrilled to be part of the MMA family and working directly in the community that he loves. 

Club at Spruce Peak Founders Cup Ambassador John Tewhill 
John Tewhill has been a member of The Club’s team since its inception and has served a variety of roles in both our summer and winter seasons. Throughout his childhood, he raced in USSA youth events. He was a member of the U.S. Military Ski Team in Europe where he raced downhill, giant slalom and slalom in the Alps. John is an accomplished ski racer and one of the most experienced locals on our Stowe race hills.

Alpine Captain Tim Kelley
Tim Kelley is a former American alpine ski racer. He was born in Burlington, Vermont to former alpine skier Lindy Cochran and her husband Steve Kelley. Tim’s career accomplishments include: 2012 NCAA Slalom Champion and 3x All-American With UVM, 35 FIS Victories, 6 Noram Cup Victories, US Ski Team Member 2005-2010, 2015-16, 2015 World Championship Team member, 35 World Cup Starts, Career Best World Cup 12th Place in Wengen 2016. Tim now lives in Williston, Vermont with his wife Susannah, two children Lily and Austin, and dog Ryder in Williston, VT., and runs the sugaring operation at the Cochran Family Maple Farm.
